Job Description:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Bigshots at Stockley, a popular golf entertainment offering located at Stockley Park Golf Club. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the smooth operation of our kitchen and ensuring the delivery of high-quality food to our valued customers.
Responsibilities:
- Washing, peeling, and preparing food ingredients as directed by the kitchen staff.
- Utilizing specialized equipment such as Pizza Oven, Panini Machine, and Cibbo Oven to assist in food preparation.
- Conducting regular reviews of kitchen inventory and determining the items that need to be replenished.
- Monitoring sell-by dates and implementing a rotation system to ensure the use of fresh ingredients and minimize waste.
- Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the kitchen, including cleaning kitchen appliances, ovens, dishes, and pans.
- Observing cooking times and ensuring that food is prepared at the correct temperatures to maintain quality and safety standards.
- Adhering to food safety guidelines and following proper sanitation procedures.
- Assisting the kitchen staff in various tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate is mandatory.
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Assistant or similar role is preferred.
- Knowledge of basic food preparation techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- A positive attitude, good teamwork skills, and the ability to work well under pressure.
