U-educate are seeking an energetic and conscientious Administration Assistant, with a warm and welcoming personality who will act as first point of reference when greeting parents and visitors to a SEN school in Fareham. It is essential that all administrative staff promote a positive, welcoming, friendly and reassuring ethos and have the ability to be empathetic and understanding to the complex medical and learning needs of the students, being able to adapt to changing pastoral needs of the school. The candidate will have the ability to maintain excellent professional conduct at all times and will be able to work well with others and with their own initiative to support in the smooth running of the school administrative and medical processes.
Responsibilities will include:
- Reception duties, acting as first point of contact for receiving calls, visitors, emails, enquiries from staff and students
- Manage transport enquiries
- Maintain inventory and replenishment of stationery
- Process daily school meal & attendance requirements
- Administer first aid, medication and medical & intimate care as required
- Maintain medical, pastoral and first aid records and equipment
- Liaise with appropriate support agencies as required
- Assist in routine finance and HR procedures
- Maintain the school diary and record absences
- Maintain student data accurately using the school’s management systems
- General Administrative support across the needs of the school

Excellent IT skills, with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite, and Grade C or above in English and Maths at GCSE are essential, although hands on training will be given for school management systems along with specific medical and health care training as required.
