We have grown steadily since then, and currently our main products / services are:

- to collect used clothes and shoes from clothing banks that are hosted by supermarkets, post offices etc.
- to support environmental projects in India and Africa.
We have a workforce of around 22 staff based in our company buildings in Cheshire, West Midlands, Berkshire and Kent.
You can get more information on our website at www.greenworldrec.co.uk
All clothing banks are emptied by our own team of drivers. Some of the very busy containers are emptied twice per week. Some of the smaller sites at least every other week.
Functions & Duties
As a collector, your main job is to collected the clothes and shoes that are in the containers. The area manager gives to you a route with the address of the containers where you should collect every day.
For doing that you will drive a Van where you can fit 1.300Kg/1.400kg of clothing. At the end of the day or at the beginning of the day you have to go to the warehouse and empty the van putting and doing the offloading by packing cap sacks.
Every day you will report on the route for each site the amount of Kg collected and some anomalies or problems that you find with the collection (graffiti on the containers, the containers was fall down, etc.) trough a software. Each driver has a tablet/smartphone with internet connection and through the app installed you will be able to report the figures and issues, as well to take pictures of the containers. Therefore, we will have a centralized data base with all information.
The communication is a very important and powerful tool that lead us to improve results and became what we call SOR (Superior Operation Reliability).
Every week(daily basis) you have to take care of the van, cleaning it, from inside to outside, check oil, water and making sure that the van is ready for the work and driving around 700-900 miles/week.
Operational Area based in Manchester, Cheshire, West Yorkshire, South Yorkshire and Derbyshire
