Arriva North East employs some 1500 staff and operates a fleet of 480 buses from 7 operating depots in Northumberland, Tyneside, County Durham, Teesside and North Yorkshire. We are currently seeking to recruit a Buggy Bus Driver at our Redcar depot.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safe Transportation: Operate a buggy van in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic rules and regulations. Ensure the well-being and safety of passengers throughout the journey
- Maintenance and Inspection: Conduct regular checks of the buggy van to ensure it is in proper working condition. Report any maintenance or repair requirements promptly to the appropriate authorities.

Compliance and Safety: Adhere to company policies, guidelines, and safety procedures to guarantee a secure environment for both passengers and fellow drivers. Follow protocols for emergency situations, if they arise.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated.
- Clean driving record with no more than 3 penalty points
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic rules and regulations.
- Flexibility in working hours, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required.
- Prior experience in a similar role or working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous.
The position involves Monday to Saturday working,
