Spar is a retail organisation operating stores throughout the North of England and we are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our administration team. Working closely with the company PA, this is a great
opportunity to learn and develop your skill set within a busy administration role.
This is a fixed term contract for 6 months with a view to going permanent.
The role is a varied administration role, with some aspects of HR involved
The Role
- Supporting the company PA with all administration tasks
- Monitoring/managing the company admin email inboxes
- Collating, inputting and maintaining spreadsheets using Excel
- Update and maintain holiday spreadsheet
- Support with payroll as required
- Placing recruitment adverts, screening CV's and being first point of contact with candidates
- Onboarding new starters, ensuring all the relevant documentation is sent and received
- Maintaining and updating in house company IT systems
- Scanning and filing
- Maintaining a clean and tidy office
- Liaising with managers across all stores
The ideal candidate will possess the following
- Be a good listener
- Be diligent and accurate in their work
- Maintain confidentiality at all times
- Ability to work unsupervised for short periods
- Able to follow instruction, but not afraid to ask questions
- Good IT skills, using Microsoft Office, excel is a must
- Be willing to learn
- Good organisation skills
- Be neat and tidy in presentation
- Be a team player
The role will be based at Campbell Street in Farnworth with the possibility of travelling to other stores.
The hours are flexible Mon to Fri, this can be discussed at interview. No weekends
Salary meets National Minimum Wage for age
Laptop will be provided
